"Remember the ladies, and be more generous
and favorable to them than your ancestors."
~ Abigail Adams
Maria Martin born this day in 1796, a very
quiet artist. Maria collaborated with John
James Audubon. Painting the plant life,
insects and background in Aududon's books,
"The Birds of America" and "Viviparous
Quadrupeds of North America".
With each new publication, the publishers, "Forgot"
to include her name. Thus writing her out of history.
